About Kenchan Tours

Ken Wade is currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah, but was born in Japan and has lived there for about six years total. Ken has taught history at Waterford School - a private pre K-12 school in Sandy Utah - for almost 25 years.  He studied Japanese history at Kumamoto University in Japan, as well as at The University of Utah, George Washington University, and the University of California, Berkeley. Ken started this tour company in 2023, but has led 8 student trips to Japan over the last 20 years and has also guided students through Europe and India. He loves sharing Japan with travelers and making sure they have an unforgettable experiences there.
